Issue 3.12Applicants for membership of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists fit into a number of different categories. Some applicants may be intending to work towards registration with the UKCP, while others will not.
Graduate students of the National College of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (NCHP) are automatically entitled to membership of the NRHP.
Registrants of the UKCP (Hypno-Psychotherapy), [UKCP(HP)], Section. By the nature of their accredited training with another training member organisation of UKCP(HP) Section these applicants would automatically be granted membership of the NRHP on proof of their award.
Individuals who have undergone training with a non-UKCP(HP) training organization who are regulated by some other body and carry adequate insurance are entitled to have provisional non-regulated membership of NRHP (with no website or directory listing). This provisional membership would continue until the following criteria are met:
When these criteria have been met Regulated Associate Membership and NRHP directory listing may be applied for.
On meeting the following criteria Full Membership and listing would be granted:
Any applicants who wish to apply for UKCP registration must fulfill all the necessary UKCP criteria and must be of graduate status or able to provide proof of equivalence at outset.
