NRHP registered therapists will abide by a Code of Ethics set out by their professional Governing Body and their practice will be suitably insured. They will have been professionally trained and will be committed to maintaining their professional expertise through continuing professional development.
They will also have regular and appropriate professional supervision and consultative support and the client will at all times be treated with respect and discretion. The entire therapeutic relationship will be treated as confidential as explained by the therapist at the initial consultation. They will also be subject to a formal complaints procedure should any member of the public feel it necessary to raise a concern. The CNHC is the UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners, which was set up with Government funding and support. Its key function is to enhance public protection by giving the general public and commissioners of services access to a list of practitioners that have been assessed as meeting national standards of competence and practice. It currently registers practitioners from fourteen disciplines with more to follow.
The NRHP has been approved as a verifying Professional Association for the CNHC. NRHP members can register with CNHC to gain the CNHC quality mark. Please click here for the Request to Register form
